Boiler Service and Repair
Why should you service your boiler and how often?

Servicing your boiler on a regular basis is essential for both safety and efficiency. This should be done annually.
Faulty boilers are extremely dangerous. A boiler leaking carbon monoxide (CO) into your home can make you very ill, and at worst can be fatal. Unlike gas, it is completely odourless and has no smell and can do a lot of harm before you're aware.

Government statistics state that around 4,000 people per year go to A&E due to this, with around 200 hospitalised, and around 50 of these cases are fatal. Getting your boiler serviced properly ensures there are no leaks or weak points, and that you are completely safe.
Servicing your boiler will also maintain it, prolonging it's life, and reducing the chance of future repair bills, therefore saving you money. Any minor repairs can be done before they get worse and become bigger issues and repairs. We will make sure it's working as efficiently as possible to keep your utility bills down, and cut your carbon footprint all year round.
Most home insurance policies will state that a boiler must be regularly serviced, we can provide any specific paperwork for this. We are fully insured ourselves for any work and certificates we provide.
System Power Flushing

Energy Efficiency Upgrade
An energy efficiency upgrade can give you the maximum use out of your system and save you money.
If you have an older style of heating and hot water system we can convert it, bring it up to a more modern and current standard, incorporating all local water By-laws and regulations. All the modern types of timers, programers, weather compensators and smart controls also be installed.

Gas Landlord and Safety Certificates
The purpose of having a Gas Landlord Safety Inspection

Gas Safe and Corgi both state that all gas appliances must be inspected each year.
Manufacturers of gas appliances also recommend that their appliances must be serviced each year.
​
It is law for a landlord to do this in their properties to ensure the safety of their tenants, however it is not yet law for home owners to do the same, which means home owners are more at risk as it is common to forget or leave it till tomorrow.
Unchecked gas appliances can be dangerous. At L.M. Heating and Plumbing Ltd, we take gas safety very seriously and recommend everyone have these inspections, not just Landlords.
